In search of fockpop
by Elijah

The Everglades must be one of the most passive and still existing pop bands in the world. Despite the fact, the recent month has been very effective for us. In my opinion, the band has improved its interplay and, interestingly, also begun to sound better. Perhaps even better than ever. New songs started to work fine and Larry has finally found the perfect sound for improvisational blues-soloing... We are at last approaching the very essence of fockpop.

Now The Everglades has once again landed to a bit more silent epoch as its members have extended across United Kingdom and east side of Turku. Fortunately it won’t last very long this time and in April at latest you will see a band that is “tight like a tiger” and “sounds like a hurricane”. What? Anyway, I think our music is beginning to sound like...The Everglades. Perhaps we have little by little attained the hooks and finesses of Alex’s compositions. Imagine it took us only three years.

Finally, what is perfect fockpop made of? Technically, it’s based on the song melody, two guitars, drums, bass and perhaps some keyboards here and there. It consists of two genetic and problematic brotherhoods and one Colombian refugee. It wells from “Leisure Suit Larry” and a national park in Florida. I consider it as a highly chaotic mixture of easy life, creative stupidity and millions of other ingredients.
