Summer time and living was easy
by Alex

Autumn is here! It’s my favourite season ’cause after that it’s only winter and spring left before it’s summer again! Well, if you spotted a hint of sarcasm in that you weren’t completely off the tracks. I find autumn a bit depressing, especially here in rainy London. But it’s not all bad. The way I see it is that summer and having fun makes you lazy. At least that’s how it works for me. I mean summer is about the sun, having fun and taking it easy. It’s all good but that kind of mellow happiness doesn’t drive you to do big things. It’s all too comfort just to be.

That’s why I was actually looking forward to autumn. I can feel it already. When you really can’t stay outside and stand in the rain it’s easier to stay inside and do something meaningful and productive. For example rather than getting yourself wet outside grab the guitar and write a song about standing in the rain (what do you mean it’s been done before?!?).

Summer truly was great. As you may know by know, we went to the studio and recorded this three-track demo which in my humble opinion sounds pretty damn good! And that wasn’t the only brilliant record that came out during the warm summer months. Long awaited albums from Oasis and Coldplay also made a big impact to me and were well worth waiting for. To be quite honest I prefer the mod sound of Don’t Believe The Truth (which became the soundtrack of this summer for me) to the sound world of X&Y. Nevertheless, both are brilliant, no matter what you say Anthony!

And of course another good thing was this website. Please do check back frequently for all the latest information and other weird shit that will be published in this God forsaken corner of the cyberspace. For example to find out the true meaning of "fock pop", keep your eye on this section. Larry will soon tell you the rest.

So, lastly I would like to wish you all a lousy, depressing but productive autumn!

Take care!

Alex
